A nice start to World cup for India

It is always the first game, and a win will always makes thing easy for any team to enter knockouts especially on a team like Pakistan.

Positives:

  • Virat Kohli's extraordinary knock along with Hardik
  • Arshdeep Singh bowling
Negatives:
  • Opening jitters
  • Fielding
  • 19th over problems
  • Spidercam ;)

Hope we will march forward to knockouts by winning against other teams in the group where South Africa is another tough contender.

India tour in Australia: A pre analysis for #Boxing day test

After a dismal performance with bat on the first session of 3rd day in Adelaide, Indian cricket team looks to bounce back in Melbourne for Boxing day test.

But the team faces very big hurdles such as
  • Virat Kohli's absence
  • Shami's injury
  • Rahane, Pujara and Vihari struggling for form
  • Openers out of form
Citing above concerns, most ex-players and cricket pundits have already predicted the series score line Aus-Ind 4-0.

Also, the main reason for India's downfall recently is the worst fielding by the team across formats and in tests dropping dollies will be more painful.

Hopefully India will bounce back or atleast we expect to see a spirited performance from Team India. Cheers!

E-Commerce basics-1

E- Commerce
Are you planning to set up a market online for your Products, is it a startup or do you already have an established store which sells your stuff, then you need to know these basics of E-commerce.

1. Is it a startup?

If it's a startup, you must not set up your own website to sell your products as there are lot of implications because you don't have any idea  on how things work because firstly you don't have any basic understanding on how to do business offline, you need to understand the tips and tricks of e-commerce on how it works. So the best way for you to become a seller, set up your online store somewhere is well established websites like Amazon, Flipkart etc., you may not reap profits but you will have a minimum understanding of what and how of e-commerce.

2. Established seller

Considering that you know how business works and want to sell your products online to create a new marketplace for your products. It is necessary for you to follow these basic rules.

  • Create a website:
Depends on your budget, set up a website, there are so many freelance web developers who are working and might help you on setting up a website or hire someone with those skills. Based upon your requirement you can choose the technology required to set up your website.
  • Laravel: Custom market place as per requirements
Pros: Website can be customize as per requirement.
Cons: Need a lot of development effort and also require a lot of support to keep it secure.

Typical development time: 6 Months

  • WordPress Woo-commerce: Small business friend
Pros: Suitable for small businesses with less inventory and where most of the products has stories to tell with lot of pages and less costly
Cons: Not recommended of you have lot of Inventory, not secured, also may need some time to adjust to the complex administration panel.

Typical development time: 3 Months
  • Magento 2:
Pros: Easy to use, much secured, less development time, easy integration with inventory management software such as Stonehenge etc.,

Cons: Costlier development, need a dedicated support round the clock.

Typical development time: 2 months

Based on your requirement you can choose the best and move forward. These are some pages which you must look while you are creating a website:

1. Home page:

This page must show the banners, Featured products or Products on sale, tags on selected products, a standard footer, link to blog articles on your products, a customized menu along with footer with links to your business social handles.

The design depends on type of website which you are selling. For example you selling a brand of cheese flakes and then your website home page may a link to your products page and a customized banner which varies as per season and a slider which shows different recipes of your products.

2. Product family page:

This page will show all your products of different brands or we can also highlight this page as Product Category list page with attractive images of each and every category. Usually this is required for companies which do have a lot of variety of products.

Biopics overdrive

I am not running away from the fact that we need to look into the lives of wonderful human beings who have served the nation and inspire the coming generations but are we really doing that by making movies on those legends and also are we not creating false legends by creating biopics of people who defamed our country.

Firstly, consider that we are creating a biopic of people who have represented our country at international level and bought us fame, but i believe it does not end up showing all facts instead few unnecessary elements are highlighted in most of the biopics such as love, sex etc of the individual just to add the extra oomph for audience to come and watch the film. Some great people have represented the country at international level but I don't think most of their stories will not have a story which last for 2 hours long and hence we need to showcase a one hour premium of their love life with couple of duets which almost makes around 60% of the movie.

Secondly, few people who have disgraced the country at international level are also featuring in these biopics and here we are just replacing facts with fiction. Here we are brainwashed in such a way that the sole aim of the director would be to create a wave of sympathy on the person. Recently there was a film which showcased a actor as a person who was falsely implicated of crimes and was a really good person from heart. This movie sole purpose was to first to create a sympathy in audience and also a market for this tainted actor for his future films or sequels to his already hit movies.

But I still feel that there are more biopics in the pipeline and this hysteria will stay for another couple of years where the film industry cashes on audience curiosity of knowing the personal details of the living/deceased legends and tainted people. Hence we will see more films which follow these three points.
  • Choose a legend/tainted person
  • Focus 60% of the film on his love and affairs and add few duets and 20% of fictitious events
  • Create a wave of sympathy.
  • Release a political biopic at the time of elections, easy investment with good returns.
This will continue until and unless which I don't think will happen, us the audience reject these movies.

Review of 2015

Well! 2015 was a year which has so much to say, Listed are some of the notable events which I have observed as an Indian around the world..

1. Politics

North America:

Obama didn't made any major statement this year, except for the Iran nuclear deal. Taking account of Iran's history that nuclear deal is a brave step. Hope Iran does not ruin this wonderful opportunity.

Hillary is my best bet for President next year, Hope she continues the same policy towards India, Deeznuts still better than Donald Trump(love to see his memes).

US must act on taking steps towards regularizing the usage of arms(Guns), Every now and then someone will randomly shoot someone in a school, or a street and it is just disgusting to hear.

Sorry folks I just never heard any thing significant from other countries except our media houses banging that some NRI who is not an Indian got elected into some good administrative positions and some Sikh allowed to wear his turban.

Europe:

Angela Merkel steals the show all the way on handling the debt ridden Greece who are still afraid to revert back to Drachma.

But I always found David Cameroon funny on the way he reacts to major issues. He can be compared to Roman emperor Nero.

I feel sad for France, A country which was never seen such drastic terror attacks in it's life time, all prayers with them.

The way Europeans reacted to the Hostage crisis is commendable but still they carry a huge risk, It can be divided into three phases.

  • Before a photo featuring a small infant's body found on sea shore.
  • After the photo shared extensively over social media which gained sympathy for the Syrian refugees.
  • After the deadly attack on Paris.
It is still odd to hear that there are organisations demanding to split the countries like Spain and some other developed nations.

Ukraine still facing the heat of pro-russian activists who as I heard(no offence) shot down a Malaysian Plane killing innocent people.

Putin as usual playing his part as a Bruce Wayne from Batman Comics(Heard that US compares him and Dimitri to Batman and Robin), A leader who smartly accomplishes what he wants without any fireworks and that is why Turkey made a grave mistake by bringing down a Russian Aircraft(It's Russia baby).

All other countries, Sorry you may have some news to say which may not  make it to Headlines.(I missed it)

Asia:

Modi visited so many countries as part of new foreign policy which bought huge FDI's. He lost in Bihar which was needed to calm the ruling party. He is leading Asia all the way.But still unable to convince world nations on UN security council bid.

Syria is divided like a mashed potato, where there is an ongoing war between Kurds, Syrian Government, Rebels, ISIS etc...supported and opposed by IRAN, Hezbollah, Turkey, Egypt, Russia, France, UK. It is in total chaos and their citizens are doing the right thing by moving to Europe as refugees as strong Arab countries like Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia watches this carnage and don't take in refugees. If i start typing about Syria, it will never end and so i am stopping it here.

China is facing the heat from USA because of the defense deal between Taiwan and US, and US patrolling the South China Sea.

Nepal changed it's constitution and faced the wrath as it;s supplies were cut off. Nepal claims that Indian government caused it and whereas Indian government asks Nepal not to blame them unnecessarily on their Internal affair. China might use this environment for their advantage. But if Nepalis believe that China is better than India(as per the current Anti-Indian sentiment) as per my opinion they are moving closer towards total catastrophe because China(Organised and Smart) is no India(lenient and unorganized political structure).

Some funny random claims by that weird haircut president Kim Jung of North Korea that he will smash US, Hydrogen Bomb, Ballistic Missile etc etc..

Malaysian Airlines yet to find the cause of MH370 crash and their reputation got worse when their aircraft was shot over Ukraine.

Brunei was in the news by banning Christmas(for Christ sake) followed by Tajikistan. Too much I say.

Apart from that there was no interesting news from Asia this year, everything was peaceful on political front.

Australia:

I may be a poor observer of Oceania and Australian Politics. As for the fact the only news that I observed was that New Zealand will vote to remove Union jack from it's national flag.

Africa:

Apart from ongoing conflict in Mali, there was no political conflicts which was observed in news.

South America:

Here too I  am not a great observer, few minor incidents here and there I suppose and Brazil is playing an important role in BRICS.

2. Climate:

The climate is changing rapidly, significantly warm winter all around the world, floods in Atacama and Chennai, glaciers melting and red alerts in Beijing on Smog and don't forget that our own capital New Delhi rediscovered as world's most polluted city.

I believe that whatever happened in Paris on the climate deal is waste of time and resources. Nothing will happen, the climate changes, animals will continue to become extinct and the same old story repeats like what happened from Copenhagen, Paris and next some other place.

3. Entertainment:

Indian Film Industry has only two blockbuster movies this year i.e Bajrangi Bhaijaan followed by Baahubali: The Beginning. Apart from that there was nothing special.

Actors made news by commenting on Intolerance and returning their awards which were on the Headlines every other day.

Hollywood has so many good movies this year such as The Martian, Jurassic World(must watch hishe in youtube), Avengers: age of Ultron, Terminator: Rogue nation, Hunger games, The walk etc and the movie which dissapointed me the most is Terminator: Genesis(They fu***d up).

4. Science and Technology:

Mangalyaan reached it's destination along with MAVEN.
NASA discovered that Mars has water and yet to discover oil. Space X successfully launched their maiden rocket. Facebook so called free internet(Mark is visiting countries). The craze of Dubsmash(spam all over). Earth Two found which was as-usual some light years away.

Still no sign of flying cars or instant drying jackets with rocket powered hover-boards(Back to the future).
People are still obsessed with smartphones and playing weird games.

4. Sports:

Australia as usual won Cricket World cup 2015.
Bangladesh lost to India in semifinals but not because of No-Ball ;).
Emergence of Bangladesh as a strong nation in Cricket world.
Sania and Hingis wrapping it up in Tennis.
Saina falling in the last leg in every major tournament.
Sindhu making her mark.
Pnakaj adwani the unstoppable.
Vijender singh unbeatable.
Indian Hockey showing signs of revival.
CSK and RR banned for two years.
Nadal and Federer in Delhi.
Well orchestrated matches of veterans in USA.
Oscar pistorious sentenced.
AB de the invincible.
Shocking retirement in top-form by Brendon Mccullum and  Sangakkara.

What in for 2016?

Much awaited Batman vs Superman Movie(Do you Bleed? ;) )
US President election(World media will be occupied)
Russian crackdown on terrorist groups in Syria.
World T20 Cup 2016 in India.
India tour of Australia.

SWACHH BARATH ABHIYAN

One of the good initiative taken lately by the Indian government these days is the 'SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN' for  clean India iniitiative launched by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the eve of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

It is a very good initiative since a clean and tidy nation on the whole increases the Human Development Index of the nation and the image of the nation internationally will get a huge boost.

India is a country where people form their ancestors inherit the thinking of cleanliness from medieval ages , but the problem lies in the core point that people do keep their homes clean and dump the waste on the streets, people or society more often in our country had developed a feeling that some people are designated to do only some work and it's none of their business and feel ashamed doing their own work especially rich class and the major upper middle class, time had come and this thinking must change and programs like this which was voluntarily accepted by celebrities such as Sachin, Sashi Tharoor, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan etc will pave the way for that change.

Instead of accepting and performing 'ICE BUCKET' challenge without any donation for the cause, I request every Indian to accept the 'SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN' and request some parties to not to polticise the issue, citing an old adage in this context

"CLEANLINESS NEXT TO GODLINESS"

HUDHUD CYCLONE AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Recently a dangerous or a large cyclone for the first time in hundred years had hit port city Vizag of Andhra Pradesh, India, first time in India that a cyclone directly made a landfall on the city. The city was devastated by the fury of the nature and will take another 3 years to rebuild to it's current form.

Cyclones are common sight at this time of the year

in Bay of Bengal but such severe cyclones were not common until few years, this may be because of Global warming and Cimate change.

India has seen a great change in it's climatic patterns lately, such as rains during summer, a very hot winter, etc,, some events such as drastic rainfall in mumbai, unusual avalanches in Himalayas, Frequent flooding of ganga river, such as the uttharakand floods, etc.

It is high time that nations globally take steps to curb global warming, and from what i observe there was never had been a single step towards this , they say that they will meet in a convention  to take some steps, but instead nothing comes into practice.
As an indian , i request people of india to save power, water and to improve greenery, we are told in our vedas and epics that trees must be worshipped as gods. If it's invetiable to chop a tree down , you must make sure that you plant and take care to grow a few.

GAGAN NARANG HAD WON BRONZE MEDAL IN LONDON OLYMPICS 2012

Gagan Narang from india who had won every other title in shooting had won his first olympic medal bronze in Mens 10 m air rifle event. It came after a disappointing performance by  defending champion Abhinav Bindra who lost and failed to qualify for the finals.

He still can win medals in other events such as Men's 50m rifle prone and Men's 50m rifle 3 Positions.

This will give boost to Indian contingent and i am happy that our country will come back with a medal from London Olympics and the best chance for medals mainly comes from these events, badminton from Saina Nehwal, Poonia in discus throw, Boxing and Wrestling.
